A technician pulls the cup, weighs it, and pushes a probe into the slush to check the ice crystal size. He grunts, writes a number on a clipboard, and starts the next cycle. To anyone walking past, it looks like a machine making a cold drink. To us, it is a drum freezer, a syrup system, and a cleanup routine that all have to agree with each other before the machine ever leaves the floor.
Most operators never see this side of a slush vending machine. They buy it, fill it, and watch it sell. That is exactly the point. The engineering is our job, so the operator’s job stays simple. Sugar syrup left in a warm corner is a magnet for bacteria, and no operator wants to spend twenty minutes with a brush after closing. So we design the wet parts to come apart without tools where it is safe, and we keep the food contact surfaces as simple as possible.
